Forty players in 10 teams scored big for the Tennessee Tech Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at a recent golf tournament at the newly-acquired Golden Eagle Golf Club. More than $8,000 was raised to support research by civil engineering graduate students. Our endowment was fully funded in two years. Our goal is to increase the endowment to $50,000 within five years.
The first place trophy was formed from an I-beam donated by Cooper Steel, and built by Mark Davis, academic support associate for the department.
